This exquisite food crossed the sea to reach American soil thanks to the Spaniards who brought the empanadas to America in the beginning of 1492. Although found throughout the continent, in the different countries of Latin America the empanada presents different variants (more or less juicy, more or less spicy, baked in oven or deep fried). It was in America, and more in Argentina, where the empanada takes own personality. In the country of the Pampas is where truly the empanada is converted in an entirely regional symbol. Each province has its own recipe and its way of preparing them, coupled with their customs, make the difference between the empanada of one region and another.
